The Fairfax County Department of Transportation (FCDOT) is seeking to develop viable transportation improvements to address traffic and community issues along North Kings Highway (VA 241) within the Penn Daw Community Business Center (CBC). The Comprehensive Plan was recently updated to recommend the realignment of the intersections of North Kings Highway with Shields Avenue and School Street. Further, the community has expressed concerns about pedestrian safety and walkability within the CBC.

FCDOT is working with a transportation consultant team and has come forward with a series of alternative intersection design options for the area. We are seeking community feedback and input to help determine which of these should be considered the locally preferred option. Please review the design options presented in the slides below and use the comment form to submit your preferred choice and comments about this project.
