Community Easy Stats

Five Year ACS GraphicThe Easy Stats application allows users to obtain the latest American Community Survey (ACS) data for communities/places in Fairfax County, Virginia and other areas of the U.S. The information provided by this application comes from the five-year ACS data sets prepared by the U.S. Census Bureau. Users need to be careful about drawing conclusions about differences between estimates; check the margin of errors (MOE) associated with estimates to determine if they are statistically different. A list of communities/places in Fairfax County is shown at the bottom of this page along with a link to a map.

NOTE: The total population and housing estimates provided by the five-year ACS data are not as current as the estimates prepared by the Fairfax County Economic, Demographic and Statistical Research group in the Department of Neighborhood and Community Services. These more current population estimates and forecasts are available in the county's Demographic Reports.

The ACS tools below will help users of the Easy Stats data to combine and compare estimates. Links are also provided that give more information on understanding the five-year ACS data. Additional community data can be found through the Census Bureau's American FactFinder tool
