Procedures Update
At the December 14, 2023 Planning Commission meeting, an update to the Commission bylaws was adopted. Among the changes included in these bylaws were modifications to the allotted speaking times for public hearings. The new speaking times are as follows:
Individuals appearing on their own behalf, or on behalf of a business entity, if signed up on the Speakers List by 1:00 p.m. on the scheduled date of the public hearing will have four (4) minutes to speak.
Individuals serving as the authorized representative of a recognized Homeowners or Neighborhood Association, Civic Association, Professional Association, Academic Institution, or Religious Institution, if signed up on the Speakers List by 1:00 p.m. on the scheduled date of the public hearing will have seven (7) minutes to speak.
Individuals who have not signed up on the Speakers List by 1:00 p.m. on the scheduled date of the public hearing, regardless of whom they may represent will have three (3) minutes to speak.

Meeting Information
Meetings are held in the Board Auditorium of the Fairfax County Government Center, 12000 Government Center Parkway, Fairfax, unless otherwise noted. Planning Commission meetings are broadcast live on Fairfax County Government's Cable TV Channel 16 and streamed live online with closed captions provided in English and Spanish (los subtítulos en español). Meetings are also available to view on demand following the meeting. Live audio of the meeting may also be accessed by dialing 703-324-7700 for in-person meetings or 703-324-5300 for meetings held electronically.
