NCS Camps

The Department of Neighborhood and Community Services offers a variety of youth and teen camps and out-of-school time programs during Fairfax County Public School's winter, spring and summer breaks. Programs are offered at public schools and community centers throughout Fairfax County. All programs offer reduced fees for eligible families.

Registration for Summer 2024 Camp Fairfax (staggered enrollment), Teens in Action and VIP camps begins March 12, 2024. 

Camp Fairfax

Select public schools and community centers across Fairfax County welcome rising 1st through 7th graders for a weekly summer camp. Campers enjoy exciting opportunities in outdoor adventures, performing arts, sports and recreation, visual arts, science, technology, engineering and math exploration and much more.

Sully Community Center Sports & More Camps

NCS partners with the Fairfax County Park Authority to offer affordable summer camps to families with a household income of less than $132,500. Eligible families pay reduced rates for children to participate in popular Park Authority summer camps offered at Sully Community Center in Herndon. One-week sessions for ages 5-12 include activities such as basketball, gymnastics, soccer, dance, cheer, tennis, Ninja Warrior and more. 

Camp Dates - June 17 - August 16, 2024.

Structured out-of-school time programs are available at select public schools and community centers during Fairfax County Public School breaks. Programs offer fun and creative opportunities to help participants develop valuable life skills and make positive social connections.

School Age Child Care (SACC) offers camp for students in grades Kindergarten - sixth grade during Fairfax County Public Schools winter and spring breaks.

When Fairfax County Public Schools are closed for the spring, summer and winter breaks, Teens in Action offers an engaging, healthy and affordable recreation program for youth ages 12 to 18 to learn, play and serve.

Therapeutic Recreation Camps

Therapeutic Recreation offers affordable summer camp experiences for individuals (ages 5-22) with developmental disabilities, intellectual disabilities, autism spectrum disorder, physical disabilities, emotional disabilities, learning disabilities, and/or attention deficit disorders. Value In Prevention (V.I.P.) Camp

Sponsored by Fairfax County Public Schools and Fairfax County Department of Neighborhood and Community Services, V.I.P. summer camp encourages current or rising middle school students to develop healthy and positive recreation interests through a wide variety of leisure activities and programs.

4-H Camp

Fairfax County’s overnight 4-H camp is held at the Northern Virginia 4-H Educational Center in Front Royal. Va., for campers ages 9-13; high schoolers may also become counselors. The five-day, four-night camp is offered for one week in July. Registration information for Summer 2024 will be available soon.
