Virtual Center for Active Adults logoThe goal of the Virtual Center for Active Adults is to enrich the lives of adults in Fairfax County while combatting isolation. Here you can connect with your peers, engage in a variety of activities and discover useful resources.

Join live, interactive programs and engage with other adults. You can also watch programs on demand on your own schedule.

We have also included a curated list of virtual activities and useful services and resources available to residents of Fairfax County.

  • Monterey Bay Aquarium – Choose from 10 live cams, from sea otters to jellyfish.

  • American Eagle Foundation’s Eagle Cams – Explore the world of Bald Eagles through five different high-definition, live-streaming cameras placed over wild and captive Bald Eagle nests, including a wild pair residing at the National Arboretum in Washington, D.C.

  • The Smithsonian’s National Air & Space Museum, Washington, D.C. – Take a virtual tour of the hundreds of aircraft and spacecraft on display at the National Mall Building (Washington, D.C.) or Udvar-Hazy Center (Chantilly, VA). 
  • Guggenheim Museum, New York, NY – Take a virtual tour and view the collection of the museum considered to be architect Frank Lloyd Wright’s masterpiece.
  • The Metropolitan Museum of Art, New York, NY – Take a virtual tour and explore the museum’s collection.
  • The Museum of Flight, Seattle, WA – Take a virtual tour; access the cockpits and interiors of aircraft in the collection. 
  • Vizcaya Museum and Gardens, Miami, FL – Tour the opulent estate and lush gardens, originally the home of businessman James Deering, now owned by Miami-Dade County and open to the public.
