On April 11, 2023, the Board of Supervisors (Board) authorized the consideration of a Comprehensive Plan amendment for the Reston Transit Station Area (TSA) Study which included ten Site Specific Plan Amendment (SSPA) nominations accepted during the 2022-2023 Countywide SSPA process. These nominations are located in the Wiehle-Reston East and Reston Town Center TSAs. Initially classified as Tier 3 in the work program, this study was later reauthorized by the Board on July 25, 2023, and reclassified as Tier 1.
Each SSPA nomination authorized under the Reston TSA Study was assigned an individual Plan amendment number and will follow separate timelines from start to completion. Considerations requested by the Board for these Plan amendments include, but are not limited to, proposed land use mix, intensity, and other proposed changes.
