Fairfax County to Celebrate National Family Caregiver Month at the
Seventh Annual Caregiver Luncheon and Resource Fair

Fairfax County invites family caregivers of older adults to a luncheon and caregiver resource fair in celebration of National Family Caregiver's Month. The Seventh Annual Caregiver Luncheon and Resource Fair will be held on Friday, November 6 from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. at the Springfield Golf and Country Club, 8301 Old Keene Mill Road, Springfield. Registration begins at 9:30 a.m.

The luncheon celebrates the contributions family caregivers make every day caring for older family members. The resource fair will provide family caregivers information on county services for caregivers and older adults.

The luncheon costs $10 and registration is required. Register and request ADA accommodations online or by phone at 703-324-5631, TTY 703-449-1186.

Limited scholarships for attendees are available upon request.

This event is sponsored by the Fairfax Family Caregiver Support Program; a part of the Department of Family Service’s Fairfax Area Agency on Aging. Funding for the program comes from the National Family Caregiver Support Program through the Administration on Aging and the Virginia Department for the Aging.
