Introduction to Interpreting for Emergency Responders
When: Saturday, October 18, 2014, 9 a.m. – 3 p.m.

Membership Requirement: Active status, willingness to serve as interpreter for emergencies
Pre-Requisites: Successful completion of pre-course language assessment

Isolation and Quarantine Overview for MRC Videocast (Live from Fairfax)
Fairfax County Health Department Office of Emergency Preparedness staff will be available to answer questions following the presentation.

Membership Requirement: Orientation recommended.

MRC Orientation
When: Wednesday, December 17, 2014, 7 – 9 p.m.

Membership Requirement: Perspective and pending volunteers welcome.

Basic Training

All Fairfax MRC members must complete an application and the Basic Training Requirements  to be considered an Active Level volunteer and participate in any MRC-related activity. Basic Training Requirements include the following classes:

  • MRC 101: Orientation
  • FEMA IS-700: National Incident Management System (NIMS) An Introduction; offered online.
  • FEMA IS-100: Introduction to Incident Command System; offered online.
