SACC Spring Program

April 14-18, 2014

SACC Celebrates the Earth

Join us for a week of fun as SACC Celebrates the Earth during this year’s Spring program. From local conservation to creative ways to reduce, reuse, recycle, and rethink, children will have an opportunity to discover what makes our planet special and explore ways to protect it.

Using the lens of an advocate, environmentalist, and conservationist, children will explore ways to make a positive environmental change in their community. Each day will offer a variety of eco-friendly projects and outdoor activities that make caring for the earth exciting. There will also be time to relax with friends and take part in favorite craft activities and gym games.

The week will end with a unique and fun celebration in support of the center’s earth friendly campaign, such as a flag football exhibition game to raise awareness of the endangered bald eagle, a dance-a-thon and letter writing campaign to save the trees, a recycled artisan’s fair, a celebrate the earth rally, or a Virginia wildlife parade.

7:15 a.m. - 6:15 p.m.

Kindergarten - 6th grade

Your child will need to bring a packed lunch and beverage each day. Please label both with your child's name and the date.

Snacks are provided in the morning and afternoon. A snack menu will be posted near the sign-out area.

Spring program fees are assessed on a sliding scale and are based on gross household income.

SACC's Spring Program will be located in 23 Fairfax County Public Schools.
