School Age Child Care (SACC)

Welcome to the SACC Program – a great place to be a child!

SACC provides fun, safe and educational care for children in kindergarten-sixth grade before school, after school and during school breaks in Fairfax County public elementary schools and community centers. Children with special needs are fully included in all SACC centers. In addition, SACC programs at Key and Kilmer Centers serve youth, ages 5-21, with multiple types of disabilities. SACC offers a sliding fee scale for income eligible families. Comprehensive health and safety protocols are followed at all locations.

Winter / Spring / Summer Programs

Full-day Winter, Spring and Summer programs are offered at a number of consolidated sites throughout the county.

The SACC program serves children five days a week, Monday - Friday.

  • Before School:  7 a.m. until school begins.
  • After School:  End of school day until 6:15 p.m. SACC service begins when the children are dismissed from school.
  • Winter / Spring / Summer Programs:  Full-day winter and spring programs are offered at a number of consolidated sites throughout the county.

Beyond the Bell is a before‐ and after‐school pilot program at 20 Fairfax County Public Schools elementary sites. These locations will operate under an exemption from Virginia Department of Education (VDOE) licensure, enabling NCS to expand enrollment while continuing to uphold best practices and the highest standards of child care.
