Parking, Security, Weather, Emergencies or Changes in the Court's Operations
Directions to the Court and Maps
Parking:
Public parking is available in Garage B located on Page Avenue, between West Street and Judicial Drive, for a charge of $2.00 per hour with a $10.00 daily maximum. A small surface parking lot located between the Massey Building and the Courthouse provides accessible parking spaces for those with a DMV permit or plates. Additional permit parking is available in Garage A, located directly behind the Massey Building, but you must ask security to admit you to this restricted lot.
The maximum height for the parking garage is 7' 2". Very tall and\or commercial vehicles that exceed 7' 2" will need to make other parking arrangements. Follow the public Parking signs on the streets around the court.
It is recommended that you plan to arrive at least 30 minutes early to allow plenty of time to find a parking space and walk to the courthouse.
ACCESSIBLE PARKING FOR THE PUBLIC WITH DISABILITIES, with proper
Division of Motor Vehicles designation, is available on the complex’s
SURFACE LOTS. Overflow accessible parking spaces are in Garage B on
floors 1-4. There is an elevated walkway from the 4th floor. See map for details.
Parking in lots marked with blue "Decal Only Parking" signs or other reserved lots Monday through Friday between 8:00 am and 4:00 pm will result in a $25.00 fine and possible towing.
Security:
Anyone entering the courthouse is subject to security screening. Weapons are prohibited inside the courthouse. Cameras (including cell phones with cameras), video cameras, photographic, recording or similar equipment is prohibited inside the courthouse. Additional security information is available from the Sheriff's Office.
Inclement weather, emergencies or changes in the Court's operation:
The court rarely closes unless the weather is extremely hazardous or if emergencies arise that impact normal court operation. When that occurs, local radio and television stations will be notified and requested to announce the closing. Important announcements are also posted on the County of Fairfax Web Page.
You may contact 703-246-SNOW (7669) for detailed closing information.
We follow the closings for the Fairfax County Government, not the Public Schools.
