When I first started sketching for this submission I was going to make a digital comic about how important having someone be there for you is. It was nearly complete when with a press of a button I lost almost all my layers with just a few days left to submit. I tried looking for a way to salvage it but I couldn't find anything that helped and there was no time to start a comic from scratch. However, I detest letting a problem get the better of me, so I started working on something new: a picture of my cat persona against a background adorned with many characters/creations I've made over the years to symbolize my growth as an artist.
I'm still disappointed about the comic and I'm upset with myself for making the mistake, but the point is to not let a setback be the reason you can't do something great. This wasn't how I planned this experience to go or what I planned to write, but at least I have something, don't I? Little mistakes that cause big problems happen, however you make the choice to leave it there, or to turn it into something better.
