| Internet e-mails received and/or
sent by the CSB are neither encrypted nor on a secure network.
Therefore, the CSB cannot ensure that any e-mail addressed to
it or its staff will remain private and confidential. If you send
e-mail to the CSB that includes individually identifiable health
information, the CSB assumes that you grant permission to release
and share this information with other County staff as needed to
respond to your request.
Because internet e-mail is not secure, we recommend you refrain
from including personally identifiable health information in
any e-mails you address to the CSB or to CSB staff. To better
ensure your privacy and confidentiality, as well as our compliance
with federal confidentiality, privacy, and security regulations,
the CSB will not use e-mail to respond to any questions that
require the use of identifiable health information. The CSB
will only use e-mail to answer general questions about available
services and to provide links to more information.
If you want to discuss aspects of your own or anyone else's
personal health or participation in CSB services, please use
one of the alternatives listed below, which will provide you
a more immediate confidential response:
- If you are experiencing an emergency, please call the
CSB's Emergency Service at 703-573-5679, which is available
24 hours per day, 7 days a week.
- If you are receiving services from the CSB and have
questions about your services, please call your therapist/case
manager or 703-324-7000.
- If you are concerned about yourself or someone who may
require CSB services and wish to discuss personal health-related
details about the situation, please call the CSB
