Stream Water Quality Reports
The water quality sampling program was transferred from the Health Department to the Department of Public works in 2002 as part of the county's Stream Water Protection Strategy Program , 2002 was the last year the Health Department collected water samples.
Past Annual Stream Water Quality Reports (1997 - 2002) may be downloaded as Adobe Acrobat files. Data files of the stream sample results from 1986 to 2002 are available as Database 4 (db4) files in zipped format.

sampling sites by watersheds. The PDF file contains bookmarks and
hyperlinks for a faster search of the report. This is the last stream
water quality report from the Health Department.

Stream Data Files - Zipped File Format- The raw data used for the Annual Stream Sampling Report from 1986 to 2002 is in Dbase 4 (.dbf) format. The data files are in a "self extracting" file.
At the prompt save the file (.exe) to a directory of your choice. Go to the directory and double click on the file.
You will be prompted for a directory download site. The default is
C:\stream, if there is no directory named stream on your C: drive you
will be asked if the directory may be created. You may accept the default
directory or choose your own.

NOTE: The chemical database results beginning with the 2000
report will be in 5 different databases for each of the chemical
parameters. The necessity of creating separate databases for each
chemical parameter is the result of samples being collected on different
dates using different methods of sampling.

WATERSHED:
Sample results are reported by station numbers in the report. The first
number of the sampling station number would be the watershed number i.e.
station number 16-20 would be in the Accotink Watershed -16. Use your
