Juvenile Driver's License Ceremony

§46.2-336

In accordance with the Code of Virginia, the Department of Motor Vehicles will send your driver's license to this court for presentation. Once the court has received your driver's license, you will receive a notice to attend a presentation. This notice usually occurs during the last 30 days of your temporary license.

Once you have received your notice to attend, you will receive your driver's license when accompanied by a parent or legal guardian. Due to limited seating, only one person should accompany you. Please bring your temporary license and your notification with you as you will be required to show identification to attend the presentation. Appropriate dress is required.

Please arrive early to park and enter the courtroom before the start of the presentation. Persons who arrive late will not be admitted, but will be given a new date to appear. It is recommended that you plan to arrive at least 30 minutes early to allow plenty of time to find a parking space and walk to the courthouse.

Public parking is available in Parking Garage B located on Page Avenue. Please see the link below "Directions to the Court" for a detailed map of the Judicial Complex.

Beginning January 3, 2007 the court will be holding the Juvenile Driver's License Ceremony at 3:15 pm in Courtroom 3K.

For further information regarding the ceremony, please contact the court at 703-246-3030.
