CDC Epi-Aid Report on Youth Suicide in Fairfax County
In November 2014, the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) conducted an investigation – known as an “Epi-Aid” – of the behaviors and risk factors associated with suicides among youth in Fairfax County Public Schools. The final report was provided to the Fairfax County Health Department and the school district and a webinar briefing was conducted on June 23, 2015 to review the findings and recommendations.
Below you will find a copy of the final report, a Q&A document about the report and its methodology, and a recording of the webinar. Find links to local suicide prevention resources on the right-hand side of this page.
