Report a Dead Bird


 West Nile Virus in Fairfax County

The information you are about to provide is very important for us to maintain a record of bird deaths throughout the county. Please complete the information provided below including your name, contact phone number, date and address where you found the dead bird and the type or description of the bird.

HOW TO SUBMIT A DEAD BIRD REPORT

  1. Go to Fairfax County's Community Complaint Form page.
  2. Select "Submit Complaint" from the Animals, Rats and Insects section.
  3. In section 1 titled " Select Violation Type from the list below: "- select Report a Dead Bird.
  4. Please include the above requested information in the form before submitting.

Do not handle any dead animals with your bare hands. You may dispose of your bird by double bagging it and placing it in the garbage.
