The Community Interfiath Coordination promotes interfaith community understanding and respect to strengthen positive communications and relationships within Fairfax County's religious and culturally diverse population.
- Interfaith Understanding and Respect Committee
The Interfaith Understanding and Respect Committee supports the growth of community interfaith community dialogue initiatives and existing community interfaith community dialogue groups which promote religious and cultural understanding and respect. Groups supported are the Interfaith Communities for Dialogue and the McLean Community Connections.
- Interfaith Communities for Dialogue (ICD)
The Interfaith Communities for Dialogue (ICD) is composed of faith communities in the Annandale, Fairfax, and Falls Church area. ICD promotes understanding and respect, and relationships among religiously and culturally diverse communities in Fairfax County and surrounding areas. Initiatives include community dialogue, book discussions, supper clubs, and service projects.
- McLean Community Connections
McLean Community Connections is composed of individuals representing Fairfax County's diverse religious and cultural groups within the McLean and surrounding communities. The group meets monthly at the McLean Community Center to dialogue and foster positive interfaith and multicultural communications and relationships.
Interfaith Understanding & Respect Committee: News & Events
- Interfaith Communities for Dialogue meets monthly. Dialogues are planned for each fall and spring.
- McLean Community Connections meets monthly.
