Project Services
Project Services, aka System Planning, provides cross-agency and system-wide support to promote access, service integration, and community involvement. Acting as internal consultants to the human services system, Project Services provides assistance with strategic planning, performance management, project coordination, process improvement, and policy analysis.
From 2010 on, work has largely focused on the development and implementation of an accountability framework for the Fairfax County human services system. This framework identifies and measures results of programs and services in order to inform decision-making and improve system performance.
Up to 2010, Project Services did the following:

Assisted county agencies and community groups to meet identified
system-wide needs through the redesign of work processes in order to:
- Increase efficiency
- Improve service quality
- Align service delivery with goals & outcomes
- Promote integration of services for clients and consumers

Provided planning, analysis, and facilitation in order to:
- Coordinate cross-system or multi-agency collaborative work
- Build partnerships between county agencies and the community
- Collect, analyze, synthesize, and disseminate knowledge to inform and guide the processes for planning and decision-making
