It’s time to think summer! Registration for NCS summer camps kicks off Wednesday, March 11, 2026. The Department of Neighborhood and Community Services offers a variety of summer camp options for youth and teens throughout Fairfax County. Register early and secure your spot for a summer of fun activities, new friendships and lasting memories!NCS camps are offered from June 22 – August 21, 2026; registration start dates, program dates, eligibility and costs vary by camp/location. All programs offer reduced fee opportunities. Learn more and find the right camp for your child by exploring NCS’ camp options:Camp FairfaxSelect public schools and community centers across Fairfax County welcome rising first through seventh graders for a weekly summer camp. Campers enjoy exciting opportunities in outdoor adventures, performing arts, sports and recreation, visual arts, science, technology, engineering and math exploration and much more. The former Fairfax County Park Authority Rec-PAC camps merged with Camp Fairfax in 2025. Families are encouraged to sign up for SACC registration accounts and familiarize themselves with reduced fee opportunities before registration. Enrollment dates will be staggered alphabetically by Camp Fairfax Elementary School (ES) and/or community center name. Registration begins March 17.Culmore Summer Soccer CampYoung athletes ages 6-16 can continue to develop their skills and participate in a team setting at this free summer camp at Bailey’s Elementary School in Falls Church. Registration beings March 17.Teens in ActionTeens in Action offers an engaging, healthy and free recreation program for youth ages 12 to 18 to learn, play and serve. Registration begins March 17.Therapeutic Recreation CampsNCS’ Therapeutic Recreation offers affordable summer camp experiences for individuals (ages 2-22) with developmental disabilities, intellectual disabilities, autism spectrum disorder, physical disabilities, emotional disabilities, learning disabilities, and/or attention deficit disorders. Families are encouraged to sign up for TRACERS accounts and familiarize themselves with reduced fee opportunities before registration. Staggered registration will begin March 11, 18 and 25 for elementary, teen and preschool camps.Sully Summer Sports CampsA partnership between NCS and Fairfax County Park Authority offers affordable summer camps at Sully Community Center. Eligible families pay reduced rates for children to participate in popular Park Authority summer camps offered at Sully Community Center. Registration now open.Fairfax County 4-H CampFairfax County’s overnight 4-H camp is held at the Northern Virginia 4-H Center for campers ages 9-13; high schoolers may also become counselors. The five-day, four-night camp is offered June 21-25. Registration now open.Value in Prevention Camp (V.I.P.)Register rising middle schoolers for a summer of fun and leisure at Value in Prevention (VIP) Camp VIP Camp is designed to encourage teens to develop healthy and positive recreation interests and features a wide variety of leisure activities and programs. Registration begins March 17.Information on all NCS camps is also available at NCS Camps.We are actively recruiting individuals looking for summer employment. Camp Fairfax and Therapeutic Recreation Camp (for campers up to age 22 with diagnosed disabilities) offer great opportunities to develop leadership skills and gain experience working with school-age children.Applicants must be high school graduates or GED holders age 18 or older. In partnership with local grocery stores, volunteers, and community organizations, the program collects non-perishable food items and gift cards at various locations throughout the county. This collaboration helps keep the shelves of local pantries and food providers stocked throughout the year. This year's event is presented in partnership with Fairfax County Department of Transportation, Fairfax County Fire and Rescue and MV Transportation, Inc.
