Who Is Eligible?

 Children of Fairfax County residents. Adults living in the child's home must be:

  • Working at least 30 hours a week and/or
  • Attending school or job training programs at least 30 hours a week and/or
  • Disabled.
    *Parents are required to furnish evidence of eligibility

Note to parents of children attending Fairfax County Public Schools: if a child's base school does not have a SACC center, or if the center is fully enrolled, families may apply for other centers and request a student transfer from FCPS. When requesting a student transfer from FCPS, families must document attempts made to secure child care within the base school boundaries.

Children in private or parochial schools are eligible for the SACC program. Families follow the schedule, hours, and holidays of the SACC center the children attend.

Children with special needs are integrated into SACC centers.

How to Enroll

 Call SACC Registration at 703-449-8989 to register for School Year, Winter, Spring, and Summer programs. Be prepared to give:

  • names,
  • addresses,
  • telephone numbers,
  • child information, and
  • gross household income.

Program Fees

  • SACC uses a sliding fee scale.
  • Fees are based on gross household income.
  • Fees for the School Year Program are due one month in advance from August through May.
  • Fees are the same every month regardless of the number of program days in each month.
  • Additional fees are assessed for the Winter Program, Spring Program, and Summer Program.
