Arctic Blast

The 2009 SACC Winter Program will be an “Arctic Blast” as children experience the chill of winter through hands-on experiments with ice. The 2009 SACC Winter Program will be an “arctic blast” as children experience the chill of winter through hands-on experiments with ice. Children will track icebergs, examine arctic plants and animals, and create ice sculptures, snow globes, ice candles and more. Children will also enjoy making delicious treats like snow cones and slushies. Parents are invited to join the fun and have a frosty photo taken with their child. Join us as we bring the “freeze” to SACC!

Please:

Accompany your child into the center each day and let a teacher know that your child has arrived.

Send a packed lunch and beverage with your child each day; label both with your child's name and the date. Snacks will be provided in the morning and afternoon. A snack menu will be posted near the sign-out area.

Have your child wear comfortable shoes and clothing appropriate for both indoor and outdoor activities.

Sign your child out each evening on the parent sign-out board and let a teacher know that you are leaving.

Licensing Information and Health Forms

Children enrolled in the SACC school year program:

If your child is enrolled in a SACC center before school, after kindergarten or after school during the school year, a copy of your child's Licensing Information for SACC Records form and School Entrance Health form will be transferred to your winter program site. Please see your center staff to verify that the information on the form is accurage and up-to-date, and to verify that both copies of the form have an original signature.

If your child does not attend SACC during the school year program, but is enrolled in the winter program, you will need to provide SACC with a copy of your child's School Entrance Health form, a completed Licensing Information for SACC Records form, and proof of your child's identity (birth certificate, report card, passport, or Social Security card).
