Volunteer Community Liaison
The success of the Center Without Walls project relies on the support of community volunteers. A Volunteer Community Liaison acts as a project or activity coordinator and supports the Center Without Walls program in a variety of ways. A Volunteer Community Liaison may be an individual (or group) who assist the network of groups and organizations that participate in the Center Without Walls projects. These include the Department of Community and Recreation Services, public and private businesses and community organizations, faith based groups and communities, as well as participants in the Center Without Walls programs and activities. A sampling of tasks and responsibilities for a Volunteer Community Liaison is given below.

Tasks and Responsibilities of SCWOW Volunteer Community Liaison
- To attend each session and ensure room is set up appropriately

Greet participants and ensure they sign in

Greet and announce guest speakers

Keep registration forms on hand in case of emergency

Distribute/ collect sessions surveys and submit to Branch Manager,
Senior Services

Ensure enrollment does not exceed prescribed class maximum

Ensures schedule is adhered to

Report accidents to Branch Manager

Provide feedback to Branch Manager about the Programs offered, response
from participants, etc

Attend planning sessions/team meetings with CWOW team
- Ensure facility that is used for programs and activities is left clean and neat
