Partners in Prevention Fund Capacity Building Grants
The Partners in Prevention Fund (PIPF) was established with funds from human services agencies to take advantage of available resources to build capacity in the community. It is intended to provide seed funding to provide specific evidence based programs that address a broad array of primary prevention needs.
The fund is intended to target specific outcomes at the individual, family, neighborhood and community level.
Our programs provide an opportunity for non-governmental organizations to offer one of eleven (11) evidence-based programs that support five key prevention system goals:
- Children are physically fit with good nutritional habits
- Children enter kindergarten fully ready to succeed
- Children and youth are safe from violence and bullying
- Children and youth are mentally well
- Families have skills and supports needed to raise healthy and thriving children
To date over 100 programs have been implemented in Fairfax County impacting more than 1000 children and adults.
Through FY2016, we are funding numerous programs in many parts of the community. Currently funded organizations, and the programs they are implementing, are listed in the table on this page.
New contracts will be awarded shortly for community organizations to implement programs beginning in FY 2017.
