The Fairfax County Commission for
Women advises the Board of Supervisors on ways to remove barriers
to women and girls in the County. Established in 1971, the Commission
has been an active voice for women in areas such as domestic
violence, educational equality, and progress in the workplace. The Commission is part of a national network of some 300 state
and local Commissions For Women.
The Commission for Women would like to hear
from you. If you have any concerns, issues or thoughts that
you would like to bring to the attention of the Commission for
Women, please email the Office
for Women. Your concerns and observations are important
in helping the women and girls in Fairfax County.
