The Northern Virginia Long-Term Care Ombudsman Program was
established in 1985 to advocate for persons receiving long-term care
services to ensure the highest quality of life and care and serves the
jurisdictions of Alexandria, Arlington, Fairfax, Loudoun and Prince
William through their Area Agencies on Aging. Anyone can contact
our program for information, whether they are from other states or
other countries.
Watch the video and learn what the Northern Virginia Long-Term Care Ombudsman Program is about:
An Ombudsman acts only at the direction and consent of the consumer or their authorized representative. The Ombudsman does not have enforcement power. This often makes way for creative solutions to problems that meet both the consumer's and the provider's interests.
