Free Income Tax Preparation

Family

Families throughout Northern Virginia received over $2 million in federal refunds last tax season through this free service.

If you worked in 2008, and earned less than $42,000, then you may qualify. IRS certified volunteers will ensure you receive the maximum tax refund and help determine if you are eligible for the earned income tax credit.

Sites open starting January 24 through April 15, 2009. Please see the list of sites and hours below.

Please bring the following items:

  • Social Security cards and birthdates for the taxpayer, spouse and dependents.
  • If married and filing a joint return, both spouses must be present.
  • Wage and earnings statements: W-2, W-2G, 1099-R.
  • Unemployment compensation, Form 1099G.
  • Interest and dividend statements.
