Fuel Assistance and Crisis Assistance Programs

The Fairfax County Department of Family Services is accepting applications for the Crisis Assistance Program.
The Crisis Assistance program helps households in emergency situations by providing primary heat security deposits and funding the repair or replacement of heating equipment. The application period began Thursday, November 1, 2012 and closes on Friday, March 15, 2013.
The Fuel Assistance program helps eligible low-income households with the costs of heating their homes. The application period for the Fuel Assistance program began on Tuesday, October 9, 2012, and closed on Friday, November 9, 2012.
