Older Adult Employment Resources

Join Us at the Fairfax 50+ Employment Expo!

  • Friday, May 30, 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. at the Fairfax County Government Center, 12000 Government Center Parkway, Fairfax.

  • Meet dozens of job recruiters! Admission and parking are free. No registration is necessary – just drop by!

  • Attend seminars on changing careers, online job searching, continuing education, starting your own business, job training, resume critiquing and job interviewing. 

Joyce A. Russell, vice dean of the University of Maryland’s School of Business and contributor to the Washington Post’s Capital Business, will discuss the importance of job coaching.

Fairfax County Board of Supervisors Chairman Sharon Bulova and David Gasme, Jewish Council for the Aging, will welcome participants at noon.

The event is sponsored by the Jewish Council for the Aging, Fairfax County and community partners.

  • Title V/Senior Community Services Employment Program
    National Council on Aging 703-778-9506, TTY 711
  • This program provides job experience to people 55 and over who have limited income. Participants are placed in temporary part-time jobs with nonprofit and government agencies and receive hourly stipends. The program is often called the Title V Program because it is funded under Title V of the federal Older Americans Act of 1968.
