The May edition of "County Magazine" covers the county's strategy for confronting climate change through its Resilient Fairfax plan, which aims to ensure that the county thrives despite climate change.

The Resilient Fairfax plan includes 48 strategies across four categories to guide the county through the climate crisis. The categories are integrated action planning, climate-ready communities, resilient infrastructure and buildings and adaptive environments.
This month’s "County Magazine" also covers:

  • The county's commitment to affordable housing with a feature on the Fairfax Housing Symposium, which brings community partners, elected officials and advocacy groups together to advance our goal of bringing affordable housing to every community.
  • Information on how businesses can work with the county through the Procurement and Material Management Department, which provides opportunities for vendors to bid on contracts and supply goods and services.
  • A demonstration with our Fire and Rescue Department on how to save a life with hands-only CPR.

“County Magazine” is produced by Fairfax County Government Cable Channel 16, which can be viewed on Cox Cable on channel 1016 (HD) and channel 16 (SD); Verizon Fios channel 16 (SD); Comcast channel 16 (SD); via digital TV with QAM tuner on channel 34-16; as well as live online
