This event will be held rain or shine.

Lorton Community Action Center Food/Hygiene Drive
Please bring a food or hygiene item for the Lorton Community Action Center. LCAC will be collecting food and hygiene products at the ribbon cutting for those in need within the Lorton community. Acceptable items include non-perishable food items, especially cereal (hot or cold), canned soup, canned chicken and tuna and pasta. Hygiene-related and baby products including diapers & pull-ups, baby wipes, tampons and pads are also needed. These donations support LCAC’s mission of enhancing the quality of life of residents of Southeast Fairfax County by providing food, basic needs, and self-sufficiency programs.

Project Background
Construction on the new facility began in July 2020. The project included renovation of the existing library into a 16,000-square-foot library co-located with a new 30,000-square-foot community center and park renewal. The center also includes the Lorton Senior Center and the Lorton Community Action Center (LCAC). The rejuvenated campus includes a new playground, fitness area, open field area, plaza and trail loop in the adjacent park.
