Library Alert:
The newly renovated Lorton Library serves its community with a collection of over 30,000 items, free Internet stations and Wi-Fi access, an expanded children’s space, a teen room with gaming station, increased seating, and multiple meeting/collaboration spaces including a meeting room with after-hours access, conference rooms, and group study rooms. Library staff will present programs for children (including early literacy storytimes), teens, and adults.
The Lorton Community Center (LCC) and Lorton Library facility opened its doors Monday, Oct. 10, 2022, with a grand opening celebration on Saturday, Oct. 15, 2022. The new facility co-locates an expanded library branch and new community center next to a renovated Lorton Park.
