Dashboard FAQs

How often is the dashboard updated?

The dashboard is updated once per day, Monday-Friday, around 11:30 a.m.

What does fully vaccinated mean?

The dashboard includes people as fully vaccinated if they have received two doses of a two-dose vaccine (Pfizer-BioNTech and Moderna) and one dose of a single-dose vaccine (Johnson & Johnson).

However, in general, you are considered fully vaccinated:

  • 2 weeks after their second dose in a 2-dose series, such as the Pfizer or Moderna vaccines
  • 2 weeks after a single-dose vaccine, such as Johnson & Johnson’s Janssen vaccine

If you don’t meet these requirements, you are NOT fully vaccinated. Keep taking all precautions until you are fully vaccinated.

What is your population data source?

Population data for the Fairfax Health District is from the American Community Survey 2019 5-year estimates.

Where does the race and ethnicity data come from?

The race and ethnicity data comes from clinics that use the Vaccine Administration Management System (VAMS) for scheduling vaccination appointments at Health Department clinic sites, the Tysons Community Vaccination Center, the George Mason/Eagle Bank clinic, and several outreach clinics. VAMS data accounts for approximately 30 percent of all people vaccinated in the Fairfax Health District and may not be representative of the entire vaccinated population.

What is the Fairfax Health District?

The Fairfax Health District includes Fairfax County, the cities of Fairfax and Falls Church, and the towns of Herndon and Vienna.
