COVID-19 Vaccination Appointment Scheduling

People 5 years and older are eligible to receive a COVID-19 vaccine.
COVID-19 vaccines are safe, effective, and free!

COVID-19 vaccines are available in the Fairfax Health District. Here are ways to find a vaccine:

1Visit vaccines.gov to find a COVID-19 vaccine near you.

COVID-19 vaccines are widely available from many providers, including pharmacies, medical providers, hospitals, across the Health District.

Use vaccines.gov to search for locations that offer COVID-19 vaccines and then schedule directly with any provider. Some locations may also accept walk-ins.

2Get a COVID-19 vaccine from the Health Department.

You can schedule an appointment at a Health Department clinic using CDC’s Vaccine Administration Management System (VAMS).

We encourage you to create an account so that you can easily manage your appointment and schedule additional doses (as applicable). If you create an account, you will also be able to download a certificate of your vaccination status after you receive your second dose!

Appointments are strongly encouraged. Beginning Wednesday, January 12, walk-in service is available at the Fairfax County Government Center and the Hyland South County Government Center (Mt. Vernon District Office) vaccine clinics:

  • Monday, Thursday: noon – 5:30 p.m.
  • Tuesday, Wednesday, Friday: 9:30a.m. – 3:30 p.m.

Please note: A parent or other adult (18 years and over) must physically accompany a minor for the duration of the COVID-19 vaccine appointment.

3Find a Pop-Up Vaccine Clinic.

In addition to vaccine clinics operated at Health Department District Offices and the Government Center, pop-up clinics will take place in areas throughout the Fairfax Health District.

Check back often for pop-up clinic updates!
