For experienced and novice bicyclists alike, Bike to Work Day celebrates the freedom of commuting on two wheels. Ride to one of 28 pit stops in Fairfax County or 115 locations throughout DC, Maryland and Virginia for refreshments, giveaways and prizes. This year Fairfax County residents can also commute to work without the pit stop, or bike to transit, or ride any day in May and still participate.

Fairfax County also recognizes that not everyone can ride on Bike to Work Day, or has a commute that goes by a Pit Stop. Fairfax County residents can still be a part of Bike to Work Day through the following options:

• No pit stop? No problem! This year FCDOT is offering a "virtual" ride option that allows you to join in the fun no matter where your commute takes you: to the office (if a pit stop is not en route), to the coffee shop, your bus stop or nearby train station.
• Alternate Date: If you don't work on Fridays or will be out of town on the 17th - no worries! Use the form to pre-register for the virtual pit stop, complete your ride on any work day in May, and stop by FCDOT to pick up your T-shirt. Details in the link below.
