2019 Summer Shutdown

Anyone traveling within the service area of the Metrorail Blue and Yellow Lines this summer will be impacted by Metrorail station shutdowns south of the Ronald Reagan National Airport from Memorial Day 2019 through Labor Day 2019. To avoid gridlock on Fairfax County roadways, those traveling in and out of Fairfax County are urged to know their travel options, plan their travel now, and avoid driving alone.


The Fairfax County Department of Neighborhood and Community Services (NCS) is partnering with Fairfax County Department of Transportation (FCDOT) to deploy Fastran buses to cover select Fairfax Connector routes effective Monday, June 3, 2019, through September 2019.

Travel on I-66 for Just $1

Travelers and commuters along I-66 are able to ride select Fairfax Connector bus routes serving the Vienna Metrorail Station for $1. Park your car for **FREE** at select park and ride locations, catch a bus and ride to Metro.
