The Fairfax-Falls Church Community Services Board's Employee Spotlight highlights members of our dedicated team. Meet Charles Carter. Charles is a CAST Team Member (Administrative Assistant II) at the Merrifield Center. He has been with the CSB for an incredible 40 years!

How did you get your job at the CSB?
I replied to a classified ad in The Washington Post. Remember classified ads?

What is the toughest challenge you have faced at work?
Like everyone else, it’s trying to keep myself and others safe during this pandemic.

What is your favorite thing about working for the CSB?
The people I’ve gotten to know and work with over the years. Amazing!

What is your superpower?
My wicked sense of humor. (I have a rubber chicken in my desk.)

What is your secret talent your co-workers know nothing about? 
That I can play the entire Abbey Road album on guitar.

Do you have a pet?
Yes. I have 2 Labradors and an Angora rabbit. They get along great. Loose hair is a problem.
