CALL TO ORDER

Commission Chair Crawford called the Wednesday, April 7, 2021 Commission Meeting to order at 7:30 P.M.

Approval of Agenda:  It was moved by Commissioner Shumaker and seconded by Commissioner Alber that the April 7, 2021 Agenda be approved as presented.  The motion passed by unanimous vote.

Approval of Minutes:  It was moved by Commissioner Conde and seconded by Commissioner Solon that the March 17, 2021 Minutes be approved as amended.  The motion passed by unanimous vote.

STAFF ISSUES:  Deputy Director Patricia Stephan-Fawcett updated the Commission on the February Monthly Report. The Staff met the Balance Score Card Goals for the month.  

COMMISSION BUSINESS:  Motion Language - it was moved by Commissioner Bell- Krasner and seconded by Commissioner Solon to table this matter until the next Commission meeting.  The motion passed with unanimous vote.

HRC# 2018006E - APPEAL:  It was moved by Commissioner Solon and seconded by Commissioner Alber that this case be sent back to the office to interview the witnesses listed on page 26 of the Appeal Packet (and page 7 of the FIR in the Appeal Packet), as well as the complainant’s physician.  The motion passed by majority vote with Commissioners Bell-Krasner and Commissioner Conde opposing.

HRC# 2021007H - FIR:  It was moved by Commissioner Salinas and seconded by Commissioner Alber that this complaint be dismissed due to insufficient evidence that a violation of the Fair Housing Act has occurred consistent with the recommendation of OHREP.  The motion passed by unanimous vote.

HRC #2021002H - FIR:  It was moved by Commissioner Alber and seconded by Commissioner Solon that this complaint be dismissed due to insufficient evidence that a violation of the Fair Housing Act has occurred consistent with the recommendation of OHREP.  The motion passed by unanimous vote.

HRC #2018016E - CONCILIATION:  It was moved by Commissioner Salinas and seconded by Commissioner Bell-Krasner that the Conciliation Agreement in this matter be accepted as presented.  The motion passed by unanimous vote.

COMMUNITY CONCERNS:  OUTREACH EVENTS - Commissioner Solon mentioned a community wide event in remembrance of the Holocaust at the Community Center.  For more information you may contact Commissioner Solon.

PENDING BUISNESS: There was no Pending Business.

NEW BUSINESS – There was no new business.
