The Fairfax County Office of Human Rights and Equity Programs (OHREP) is charged with eliminating discrimination in housing, public accommodation, employment, private education, and credit by utilizing its enforcement powers under the Fairfax County Fair Housing Act and Human Rights Ordinance, it is illegal to discriminate on the basis of race, color, religion, national origin, sex, pregnancy, childbirth or related medical conditions, age, marital status, sexual orientation, gender identity, military status, disability, familial status*, or source of funds*.
