CALL TO ORDER
Commission Chair Gloria Crawford called the Wednesday, November 18, 2020 Commission meeting to order at 7:30 P.M.
Approval of Agenda: It was moved by Commissioner Malik and seconded by Commissioner Bell-Krasner that the November 18, 2020 Agenda be approved as amended. The motion passed by unanimous vote.
Approval of Minutes: It was moved by Commissioner Salinas and seconded by Commissioner Malik that the November 4, 2020 Minutes be approved as presented. The motion passed by unanimous vote.
STAFF ISSUES: Outreach Coordinator Ajashu Thomas introduced herself and gave the Commissioners a report on outreach events in which OHREP has participated and distributed brochures about what OHREP does. Ajashu also shared a list of outreach events in the future and will send it out to the Commissioners.
COMMISSION BUSINESS
HRC# 2019127H – FIR -- It was moved by Commissioner Alber and seconded by Commissioner Salinas in the case of elderliness that this complaint be dismissed due to insufficient evidence that a violation of the Fair Housing Act has occurred consistent with the recommendation of OHREP. The motion passed by unanimous vote.
HRC# 2019123 – FIR -- It was moved by Commissioner Salinas and seconded by Commissioner Alber in the case of race that this complaint be dismissed due to insufficient evidence that a violation of the Fair Housing Act has occurred consistent with the recommendation of OHREP. The motion passed by unanimous vote.
HRC# 2018015H - CONCILLIATION - It was moved by Commissioner Alber and seconded by Commissioner Bell-Krasner that the conciliation agreement in this matter be accepted as presented. The motion passed by unanimous vote.
COMMUNITY CONCERNS – There were no community concerns.
PENDING BUISNESS – Commissioner Salinas inquired about the website update. Director Saunders informed him that it has been presented to the Board of Supervisors and is currently pending.
Commissioner Crawford inquired regarding transition to Zoom; the office will send out all the information needed in the upcoming packets.
NEW BUSINESS – There was no new business.
