When schools are closed due to inclement weather, parents may need backup care. It’s a good idea to visit a few programs ahead of time to see which child care situation will work best on snow days. The Office for Children maintains an extensive database of regulated child care programs, including child care centers, as well as county permitted and state licensed family child care providers. Families can search the database using a series of criteria including location, hours of operation and languages spoken.
