Emergency plans help ensure child care programs are prepared to protect the safety of children and staff when an emergency occurs.
Review, update and share your emergency plan today.
Whether you operate a state-licensed or county-permitted child care program, you are required to have an emergency preparedness plan in place. Take time to update your plan, share it with families, and post your plan and emergency phone numbers in a visible location at your program site.
The requirements for state licensed programs are Standards for Licensed Child Day Centers*.
The requirements for county-permitted programs can be found in the Office for Children’s Emergency Preparedness and Supplies Guide. Additional emergency preparedness resources are also available on the OFC website.
