Find an immunization

Get your child's immunizations up-to-date. Little girl giving a thumbs up.There are many places to get recommended child and adolescent immunizations throughout the Fairfax Health District, including at pharmacies and grocery stores that have pharmacies.

If you have questions, don’t hesitate to check with your child’s school or health care provider for specific vaccination attendance requirements. School and daycare immunization requirements are available from the Virginia Department of Health.

Don't delay, make sure your children are up to date on their childhood and school required immunizations as soon as possible.

1Contact your healthcare provider. 

Parents and caregivers are urged to reach out to their pediatrician or family physician. Many providers require an appointment, don't delay, schedule it today. 

In addition to ensuring immunizations are up to date, families are encouraged to catch-up on routine medical care they might have missed during the pandemic. This includes physicals, dental appointments, vision screenings, routine vaccinations, and more.

The Fairfax County Health Department offers immunizations to all Fairfax County students as well those who are behind on their scheduled immunizations, need a booster, and to people who are new to country.

For your clinic appointment, bring the following items with you:

Parents who are unable to bring their child to an immunization clinic during the work day may send their child with a responsible adult who is over the age of 18 and can give permission for the vaccination on behalf of the parent.
