Every child care provider with a Fairfax County permit must have an emergency plan. You can use these emergency forms and information when you develop your emergency preparedness plan.

You can learn more information about Emergency Planning by listening to the webinar Recovering for Disasters including COVID-19 in English or Como Recuperarse ante un Desastre incluyendo la Pandemia del Corona Virus in Spanish. Click on the webinar link of your choice and follow the instruction in GoToWebinar to register. Please be aware there is no training credit for viewing or attending this informational webinar.

Early childhood professionals who work with children need to stay current in their certifications for first aid and CPR. It is a requirement for any permitted family child care provider in Fairfax County. The Health Resource for Child Care Providers is not a complete list of companies that provide pediatric (infant and child) CPR and first aid training. You are encouraged to do your own research in selecting a company for these services. The Office for Children is not offering this list as a recommendation or endorsement.
