Supervisor James Walkinshaw resigned this morning from his position as Braddock District Supervisor, following his election to the U.S. House of Representatives 11th Congressional District.
Under state law, a special election must be held to fill the remainder of his term.
The Board of Supervisors will hold a special meeting on Tuesday, Sept. 16, at 9 a.m. to authorize the County Attorney’s Office to petition the Circuit Court, which will then set the date for a special election.
