Fairfax Connector invites the community to its third annual Winterfest. The event will take place on Saturday, December 6, 2025, at the Springfield Community Business Center (CBC) Commuter Parking Garage, located at 7039 Old Keene Mill Road, Springfield, VA 22150. All three of Fairfax Connector’s specially designed holiday buses will be featured at Winterfest.
This free event will open at 9 a.m. with a sensory-friendly hour for neurodivergent children and their families. The event will then be open to everyone from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.
For planning purposes, we ask all attendees register for a free entry ticket in advance.
Visit Santa!
A time-slot ticket is required (one per family); please secure one before the event. Santa will greet visitors on a specially decorated Santa Bus. Use your personal cell phone or camera for photos. If you’d like a family picture, a helper will be available to assist. For those whose preferred slots are full, walk-ups will be accommodated when possible. A Spanish-language translator will be present to assist Spanish-speaking guests.
Attendees Can Expect:
-
Free hot cocoa, cookies and kettle corn
-
Arts and crafts, face-painting, games, music, and a Letters to Santa station
-
Food trucks on-site with items available for purchase
-
Heated table areas will be provided; guests are encouraged to dress for the weather.
Supporting Our Community
In keeping with the spirit of service and community giving, Fairfax Connector and the Fairfax County Department of Transportation will be collecting unopened household items to support Cornerstones - a local nonprofit organization that promotes self-sufficiency by providing support and advocacy for those in need of food, shelter, affordable housing, quality childcare, and other vital services.
We will have a donation box at Winterfest to collect the following items:
-
New toiletries such as bar soap, shampoo, liquid hand soap, toothbrushes
-
Canned goods
The public is not required to bring a donation, but any donations are greatly appreciated!
