Fairfax Connector is seeking public comment on newly proposed service changes scheduled to take effect on June 27, 2026. The proposed updates include service modifications on multiple routes to better align service levels with ridership demand, improve reliability and increase overall system efficiency.
Proposed changes will include:
- Routes 101 & 109: Midday service adjustments to meet demand
- Route 335: Current detour proposed to become permanent
- Routes 401, 402 & 553: Schedule adjustments to improve reliability
- Route 432: Service reduction to improve efficiency
- Routes 461, 463 & 950: Service adjustments to improve efficiency
- Routes 552 & 622: Proposed for discontinuation due to consistently low ridership; riders will have access to alternative Connector services to reach their destination
- Route 615: Service adjustment; Sunday service discontinued
- Route 625: Route will be reduced to midday service only
- Route 642: Route is proposed to operate peak hours only with limited midday service; weekend service discontinued
- Route 924: Service adjustment
- Route 983: Increased weekend frequency
Members of the public may review the proposed service changes and submit comments online at Public Input. Feedback must be submitted by March 1, 2026. In addition, Fairfax Connector will hold two virtual public meetings on Tuesday, February 24, at 12 p.m. and 7 p.m., to present the proposed changes and gather feedback.
