Join Mount Vernon District Supervisor Dan Storck, School Board Member Mateo Dunne, Neighborhood and Community Services, Libraries and the Lorton Community Action Center for a family-friendly day of fun! Enjoy free giveaways of school supplies, hearing & vision screenings, free food, music, yard games, exhibitors, touch-a-truck and much more fun activities for students and families to enjoy before the start of the new school year!

A special highlight to this event is the Health & Human Services Fair that will include agencies such as the Fairfax County Health Department, Community Services Board (CSB), Inova Health System, Fairfax County Department of Family Services (DFS) and more. These agencies will share information about the services they provide to students, youth and families. They will also be onsite to assist with obtaining public assistance services such as Medicaid, Medicare, SNAP, etc. and there will be Vision and Hearing Screenings provided by INOVA Lions Care and Dental Screenings provided by Medical Care for Children Partnership. The Fairfax County Health Department will also be on-site providing vaccines and assisting with immunization appointments.
