The community is invited on Sunday, September 16 to a free celebration of Constitution Day at Historic Pohick Church at 1:00 PM. A presentation on the history of the U.S. Constitution and its relevance today will by given by Mr. Paul Walden, president of the George Washington Chapter of the Sons of the American Revolution, and historical re-enactor, the Rev. Dr. Thomas Costa, who portrays the Rev. Lee Massey, the 2nd colonial rector of Pohick Church. Docent tours of the 1774 parish church of George Washington and George Mason will be available after the presentation.
