Fairfax County’s Department of Family Services has a team that offers programs, resources, and information for older adults, adults with disabilities, and family caregivers. The Adult and Aging Division helps people in the community find the assistance they need.
Katie Jantzi and Beth Ann Margetta, who are Assistant Program Managers at the Fairfax Area Agency on Aging, discuss the many programs and resources available in the Adult and Aging Division. These include nutrition resources, Medicare insurance counseling, caregiver webinars, and more. Jonathan Bell, who supervises Adult Services, and Julie Seo, who supervises Adult Protective Services, provide details about programs that help older adults stay independent and safe. A county resident shares how participating in Adult and Aging programs helped her while she was caring for her husband.
